*This article applies to customers on Shared Hosted Exchange 2007. It does not apply if you are an Exchange 2003 customer.
If you are experiencing this error message when using Outlook 2003/2007 or Entourage 2004/2008, please do the following to resolve it.
Create your autodiscover CNAMEContact your current DNS host and create the following CNAME record for your domain. Name the CNAME record autodiscover.yourdomainname.com where “yourdomainname.com” should be your current domain name. For example if creating a CNAME record for the domain name tempdomain.com, the record would be named autodiscover.tempdomain.com. Point this CNAME record to autodiscoverredirect.myhostedexchange.com. ( Please allow up to 72 hours for DNS records to propagate) Outlook Users
Once the CNAME record has propagated please do the following:
Outlook will then resync with the server and the error message will no longer generate
Entourage Users
Once the CNAME record has replicated please do the following:
