BGP Routing for T1: A backup connectivity solution

As your business becomes more dependent on your current Internet connection, even a brief interruption can be costly. For T1 clients, it is possible to subscribe to an alternate T1 carrier and use BGP routing to allow all of your traffic to automatically transfer to the surviving connection in the event of a connectivity failure. BGP routing enables your business to connect to two Internet providers so that routing is determined between the providers based on the distance to the destination of your Internet traffic.
